NOSTALGIA 1

It has been that way till hundred years back. Only transport modes available were bullock carts, horse drawn box carts and of course your legs. People used to walk miles mile to cover from place to place. They walked in groups for fear of thieves and wild animals and they had to carry not much of luggage but good amount of food or cooking items. Some who could afford used bullock or horse drawn carts though the second choice was the rich man’s arena. My father says that in his younger days they used bullock carts to travel to their home town in a cart drawn by two hefty bulls and it took them two days and a night to reach a nearby town of 50 miles – the night included full time stay at some safe village en route. Then came the bicycle. People were suddenly free. But it came at a cost – not everybody could use it. But it was and till now it is a boon. Then the traffic revolution – public transport – a monstrous heavy weight called bus. I don’t know about other countries but in India bus is still the major transport mode used by the general public. Now we are in the era of super fast bikes and cars and coupled with super highways places have come very near.

BUT THEN WITH THESE BIKES AND CARS HAVE COME THE SUPER SPEED WHICH LITERALLY KILLS THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ALL OVER THE WORLD
